What Does a Public Speaking Coach Help you Do?

Successful speaking boils down to a simple ingredient: presence — the ability to be fully engaged with your listener.

We help executives, government officials, politicians and nonprofit leaders use their voice to inspire, influence, and engage – to speak with maximum presence. We will teach you to speak confidently not just through your voice, but through clear, precise content.

Not charismatic? No problem.

Presence involves speaking with connection and clarity, not charisma. Our approach will make you a compelling speaker, using your own most basic emotions and words. We rely on three principles to help you develop presence:

Presence of Self

Emotions are contagious. If you are at your best when you get up to speak, the audience will catch your energy.

Method: We teach you how to overcome anxiety, build confidence, and get in the zone every time you speak.

Presence of Message

If you are 100 percent clear on what you are trying to communicate, your delivery will improve dramatically.

Method: We start from the very beginning and help clients develop their core message. This pre-writing process takes time – but the effort pays off in spades. Green Room Speakers will spend as much time working on your content
as we do on your delivery skills.

Presence of Delivery

A masterful delivery depends on your ability to connect with each individual in the audience. If you want your message to be remembered, your delivery needs to be in sync with your content.

Method: Participants learn and practice delivery techniques through dynamic training exercises.

Training includes how to use:

  • Volume, pitch, tempo, and tone
  • Stance, movement, and gestures
  • Visuals, including PowerPoint
  • Eye contact to make every presentation feel like a one-on-one conversation
  • Excellent delivery to give a knock-out presentation even when you are not in the room

“My role as VP of Sales for a cyber security company requires that I deliver consequential presentations internally and externally. These include company kick offs, investor pitches, presentations to customers and partners. Sarah is not a cyber security expert, but seems to instantly get to the heart of what I want to say – it’s amazing. What I love most about her is how she’s able instantly work with what I bring her – often only an outline. The results: career defining presentations which have real impact on our business.”
