Speaking Lesson from Fireworks: Don’t End on Q and A
What’s the most exciting part of any fireworks display? The ending of course!
Sadly, this is not the case for most presentations. A major reason for this is that people often end on Q and A – arguably the most anti-climactic part of the presentation.
Just tell the audience that you will take a minute to close after the Q and A. This gives you the opportunity to deliver a powerful and memorable ending.
From the Green Room: Don’t end on Q and A. Take a minute to close, and save the best for last. Happy 4th of July!
